What Is Our Mission?
Sanctifying The Saints is a Christian blog dedicated to providing the most biblically sound devotionals and theological content. It is intended to do just what the name says Sanctify The Saints. We do not believe that this blog is the only way for someone to become sanctified before God, but we desire to make it a tool to help others grow in their faith in Jesus Christ (The Son), The Father, The Holy Spirit
What We Believe
There is one eternally existing being of God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God who took on flesh and was born into human likeness by the Virgin Mary. He retains total divinity while also taking on humanity by entering into this world. He lived a life of perfect sinlessness and obedience to The Father. He died a sinner’s death on behalf of mankind provide a path to redemption marked by his blood. By faith in Christ alone we are saved.
The Bible to be the written revelation of God, complete and sufficient in all respects. We believe the Scriptures to be “God-breathed” and therefore fully authoritative in and of themselves; they rely for their authority upon no church, council, or creed, but are authoritative simply because they are the Word of God. The Scriptures, as they embody the very speaking of God, partake of His authority and His power.
Humans, both male and female, were created in God’s image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God’s creations.
The Fall of Man
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
Salvation is a tri-fold system that works both individually as well as harmoniously through justification, sanctification, and glorification. Justification is the act of us being placed in right standing before God. Sanctification is the continual process of believers being conformed into the image of Christ as the Holy Spirit convicts and changes us from the inside out. Glorification is the process by which our bodies are made perfect and the curse of sin no longer has any hold on them, we will have bodies similar to Jesus’ resurrected body. We are saved, are being saved, and will ultimately be saved.
The Gospel is the good news that even though mankind has fallen and is enslaved by the curse of sin, God (The Son) entered into humanity by becoming like a man and fulfilling the obligations of perfect obedience. He gave up his own body to death to offer a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humanity so that, all who would place their faith and trust in him alone for salvation would be reconciled to God. By Jesus Christ we are saved and can be joined with God and escape the curse of sin.
